What is a Tanzania safari tour?
A Tanzania safari tour is a guided wildlife journey through Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and the Southern or Western circuits — typically 3 to 14 days, starting and ending in Arusha. Most travellers pick a Northern Circuit itinerary (Tarangire + Ngorongoro + Serengeti) for first trips, then add Zanzibar for a beach extension. A mid-range safari costs about $400–$700 per person per day all-inclusive (vehicle, driver-guide, lodges, meals, park fees). Why Tanzania
More wild country than one trip can cover
The Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire are all within a day's drive of Arusha, which is why most first safaris here follow the Northern Circuit. In a week you can see lion, elephant and buffalo, and with luck leopard and black rhino.
Time it right and you'll meet the wildebeest migration in the Serengeti: calving on the southern plains early in the year, river crossings in the north from about July. The south is quieter. In Ruaha and Nyerere you'll share sightings with far fewer vehicles.
Sleep in simple camps or top-end lodges, then finish on a Zanzibar beach or at the foot of Kilimanjaro.
